Profile checking (Employment vetting)

We understand that parents may use various methods to recruit a nanny.  However at Nanny Link Ltd we have concerns regarding child carers advertising in papers, shop windows, via word-of-mouth, magazines, postcards, and websites as there is no one checking the suitability of the candidate for you. If an unsuitable candidate has a chance of finding work, this is how it will be achieved.  Very often parents are recommended a Nanny on a personal level and this can be very difficult to have an indepth interview- Nanny link will elimatinate this situation by interviewing the nanny themselves on your behalf at a second interview stage.

Children are precious and we should do all we can to ensure the person who looks after them has a full background check.

In our experience there is also the problem that the Nanny and the client are on their own during their employment relationship and do not have the backup or support of an agency to assist in matters during this time.    

Nanny Link therefore introduced a service  in 2002 to ensure the security and safety of your children, by offering a profiling service.  Recently we have found more and more parents wish to use this service so that they have a very established agency helping to check the nanny's back ground and we offer an after placement support scheme too for the client and nanny.

 

The cost of the service :

Applicant one: £300.00, which will also include an Enhanced CRB Police Check. 

 If you require subsequent applicants to be checked our fee will be £125.00 per Nanny

This offer applies to one placement.

  How does it work: 
  • You will source your applicant and would have interviewed them initially
  • The person(s) you are selecting to be your nanny will then come and be interviewed by Nanny Link
  • Nanny link will check references themselves
  • Nanny link will check all credentials
  • We will supply you with a report and copies of references
  • Nanny link will help you after the placement
 

This profile service aims to allay fears, and take away the difficulties when questioning your nanny in detail regarding all aspects of their suitability to work with children.

All offices throughout Nanny link are able to offer this service to you.

CRB checks: All our offices provide this service . The cost will be £10.00 administration and then the cost of the CRB will be paid direct to the company.  We will need to meet the nanny to verify documentation.
